Top fintech podcasts

Fintech Insider Podcast by 11FS

11FS is a Fintech consultancy based in London. They publish a wide range of content in all kinds of formats, including their well known podcast.

Every week, they publish two episodes covering the current fintech news. There is such a tsunami of fintech updates every week that even their 1 hour episodes don’t manage to cover everything.

Each episode is hosted by a different person, ranging from industry experts like David Brear, Kate Moody, Ross Gallagher, Simon Taylor and more. They have incredibly high quality guests including well known fintech founders, people from Visa and more. You can find their podcast on Apple podcasts, Spotify and all popular podcast platforms.

Breaking Banks

Breaking Banks was founded in 2013, making it the oldest fintech podcast on record. It’s hosted by Brett King, CEO of a neobank called Moven, and JP Nicols, an advisor to Fortune 500 companies and cofounder of the Fintech Forge.

They publish one 1 hour episode per week where they focus on deep dives into fintech topics, rather than only the fintech news. They also have a better view on global fintech, since the hosts are based in the USA and the guests come from every corner of the world.

Voice of Fintech

The Voice of Fintech is a podcast founded by Rudolf Falat, who works in corporate finance and is based in Zurich, Switzerland.

The episodes are a lot shorter, making them easier to listen to for short commutes or weeks. It’s a weekly podcast that offers a good overview of the Fintech ecosystem specifically in Switzerland and Europe.

What the Fintech?

What the Fintech? Is a podcast that covers a wide range of topics in the fintech space. It’s hosted by Paul Hindle, editor of Fintech Futures, one of the top publications on fintech news. The podcast not only focuses on fintech topics, but also covers general fintech education and financial inclusion topics.

They release each episode every 2 weeks and cover a lot of the trending topics, along with banishing fintech business buzzwords to their “fintech jailhouse”.

Wharton Fintech Podcast

The Wharton Fintech Podcast was founded by students at Wharton, and has since come a long way. In each episode you’ll hear a variety of topics and trends with panellists that include students, investors and founders. They’ve interviewed more than 350 CEOs and CXOs, VCs, regulatory bodies and more.

Fintech Family Hour

Previously called For Fintech’s Sake, Fintech Family Hour is hosted by Money 20/20 content director Zach Anderson Pettet. The podcast explores how to bring fintech education and awareness to the masses. Zach’s personal goal is to level the fintech playing field in the US.

Having recently expanded to YouTube video, his podcast features a ‘roundtable’ discussion instead of the traditional interview format. Listeners explore stories from some of the fastest growing fintech companies and how they’ve navigated the crowded waters in their mission to democratise finance.

As Zach says himself: “The goal is to make fintech fun and a bit more approachable”.
