Want to create content that people actually read and that brings in customers?
Why join us?
Although we believe we’re a great company to work with, we’d love if you invested a bit of time in getting to know us.
Our purpose
At Mint, we fundamentally believe that content can be a key driver in growing a company. Our mission is to help financial services companies use content to acquire customers and grow their company.
Araminta started Mint Studios because she believed the content marketing agency business model was broken. Most content marketing agencies compete on number of articles produced per month and word count, and outsource to one-off freelancers or underpaid in-house writers who are treated like writing machines. The result is generic “thought leadership” content that not only no one reads, but doesn’t really help the client’s business in any way.
With Mint, we do things differently:
We stick to a maximum of select articles per month, and instead focus on writing in-depth, excellent content that brings in leads and customers for clients.
All our content is based on interviews with internal experts at our clients’ organisation, which means they are based on expertise and not recycled Google content.
Our content is focused on the client’s target market, not beginners. We write for an advanced audience.
We track the results of our efforts, so at the end of the month we can tell the client how many leads and customers we’ve produced.
The result is that the client is happy, because they’re getting what they ultimately care about: customers.
But even better, is that the writers on our team are also happy, because people are actually reading your content and it’s influencing their purchase decision.

Why I Set Out to Build a Financial Services Content Marketing Agency
The Content Manifesto for Financial Services Companies
Our culture & Values
We are writer-first: Mint Studios is a writer-led agency. We understand that a content agency cannot operate without its writers and that writers are at the core of our service offering. We know that writers are not machines, designed to churn out as many blog posts as possible.
Araminta started out as a writer, and then moved into content strategy. Everyone on the team starts out as a writer, so we’ve all been through the process and know how to write. We are all writers first.
We aim for empathetic transparency: To be a good writer, you need to be good at giving and receiving feedback. That doesn’t mean you have to deal with being disrespected and mean comments. We believe in being direct and transparent, but that doesn’t mean hurting others’ feelings.
We care about quality: The type of article we write isn’t easy. It requires collaboration, rounds of feedback, and a willingness to understand a product and topic. But we don’t do this because it’s easy, we do it because it works. We don’t like half-assing and we always try our best.
How we work
We’re currently a fully remote team across over 4 countries, although we’re looking to hire someone in Edinburgh, Scotland who would be open to hybrid working.
Schedules are flexible and as long as you’re able to respond in a reasonable amount of time and attend calls, you can work on your own time.
What it’s like to work with Mint Studios
We’re good for you if you’re:
Process-oriented: we’ve figured out a process that helps financial services companies use content to drive customers. We’re constantly experimenting and improving it, but it does mean that at the beginning we do appreciate someone who can follow processes. If you’re detail-oriented and like getting things right, we’ll be right for you.
Bit of a nerd: some of the topics we get into can get quite complex and intricate. If you’re someone who loves learning new things purely because you’re curious, this is nerd-land. You’ll get to speak with experts who know their stuff inside out, and learn about interesting payment topics that no one ever talks about.
Fascinated about what makes someone tick: we are writing to sell, which means it’s important to be someone who’s fascinated by what gets someone to buy. If you love getting into the customers’ shoes and understand the customer’s problems, you won’t be able to get enough of this.
Looking to grow as a marketer: when working with us, you’ll get to see the insides of how other companies work, as well as understand what makes people buy. You’ll learn how to write to sell, and how to create a content strategy that brings results.
How to work with us
Everyone on the team starts out as a writer, so they can learn the process. But you can also choose to become a content strategist quite quickly if you understand the writing process.

YOU’LL GROW AS A WRITER
If you love writing and want to become a serious writer, then you’re likely always looking for ways to become a better writer.
Books and courses can only take you so far — the best way to improve your writing is to learn by doing and putting in practice actionable and constructive feedback. At Mint Studios, we read everything you’ll write, and each article you create will get proper feedback.
And we’re not talking vague feedback like “can you make this less confusing?” or “this doesn’t sound right”. We try to make our feedback to the point and we’ll always look for ways to improve the article ourselves (so you’re not left coming up with alternatives alone). We keep our feedback constructive, so you won’t get mean comments in the edits and you’ll also get positive encouragement.
Here are examples of feedback we’ve given to a writer:
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT (AND PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY READ YOUR ARTICLES!)
At Mint, you’ll be writing content that helps companies acquire customers. That means a few things:
Real people will actually be reading your content (and making a purchasing decision based on what you write)
We’ll let you know how many customers your articles have brought in.
As writers ourselves, we know how rewarding it is to know that people are reading your articles and that these are influencing the decisions they make.
We have an internal Slack channel where we’ll share the numbers with you every week, and you’ll probably be in the Slack channel with the client as well so you can see for yourself.
The type of content we create is very focused on Bottom of the Funnel content and customer acquisition. Here is a screenshot of results we brought in for a client (you can read the case study here)
You’ll be part of the content strategy journey and will be able to see how your articles are helping clients grow their businesses and improve their content.
YOU’LL HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION you need AND will be able to BUILD A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CLIENT AND PRODUCT
Forget about three sentence briefs and no information at all on the product or what you need to write about. When you work with Mint, you’ll be sent as much information as possible to help with your writing, including:
A Notion page, where you can read about the client’s content strategy, access their Style Guide and information about their product, target market, etc.
Each article we send you will include a recording of an interview with an expert, which means you won’t have to spend hours doing research on obscure topics on Google.
Depending on the complexity of the article, we might add a video recording from the strategist with ideas on how to approach the article.
You’ll always be able to send in questions and ask for clarification. We try to offer as much support as necessary to ensure the writing process is smooth.
We tend to work with clients for 6 months+, ideally for multiple years. This means you won’t have to deal with constantly switching client products: you can take the time to get to know the client, the client’s product and their strategy.
